A young shopgirl is wrongly convicted of theft and sentenced to prison. Upon her release, embittered by the injustice, she vows to get revenge on the man who owned the store. She decides to use the law itself as her weapon, meticulously planning schemes that will ruin him financially and socially, all while operating just within the boundaries of legality to avoid returning to jail.
