The powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald escapes custody and begins to gather followers, promising to establish a new world order where wizards rule over non-magical people. Albus Dumbledore enlists Newt Scamander to track him down and thwart his plans. The mission leads them to Paris, where they must uncover Grindelwald's true intentions and confront a mysterious young man with a pivotal connection to both Dumbledore and the dark wizard.
