A wealthy and brilliant aeronautical engineer meticulously murders his unfaithful wife and is immediately arrested. A hotshot district attorney, on the verge of moving to a lucrative private sector job, takes what seems like an open-and-shut case for his final prosecution. However, the engineer, acting as his own counsel, reveals a deep understanding of the legal system. He expertly exploits a single tiny flaw in the prosecution's case, forcing the attorney into a complex game of cat and mouse to find the truth.
