Two detectives—one investigating a gruesome murder at a remote mountain university, the other a desecrated grave—find their cases are connected. Their separate inquiries lead them to the same isolated Alpine town and a dark conspiracy rooted in the town's secretive past and its prestigious university, where genetic experiments may be taking place.
