See the most agreed on films →An aging doorman at a prestigious hotel takes immense pride in his uniform and position, which grant him respect in his working-class neighborhood. When he is deemed too old and demoted to a lowly washroom attendant, stripped of his prized uniform, his world collapses. The film is a tragic character study of a man whose identity and dignity are utterly shattered by this humiliation.
