Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr became Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. In the 1960s, they work together with a team of other mutants to stop a formidable threat, the Hellfire Club, from instigating World War III. Their partnership is tested by their diverging ideologies on how mutants should coexist with humanity.
